(More customer reviews)As an avid woodworker who is very safety conscious and wears glasses, I find this product invaluable.Prior to owning the powered Respirator I had to wear separate, hearing protectors and respirator.For safety glasses I had to depend on my prescription glasses.If I tired to use safety goggles or a full face shield I was soon unable to see because of fogging.With the Triton powered respirator, all of the safety products are built in to one easy to put on unit.I'm fully protected and the supply of air over the face shield prevents any fogging.The battery pack lasts me for several days of woodworking since I only turn it on while operating equipment.Between operations, I shut off the air supply and raise the face shield which stays securely in place.The minor draw backs that I've found is that the pre-filter on the bottom of the battery pack becomes dirty rather quickly which does reduce the air flow.Simply vacuuming the collected dust off the filter returns full air flow.The weight of the helmet unit does cause me some neck fatigue, but I do have a neck injury and this may not be an issue for other users.The unit is somewhat expensive, but for the safety and convenience that it provides I find the cost worth while.

The approved hard hat adjusts to suit common head sizes. A continuous wash of clean, filtered air is generated by a waist-mounted, rechargeable power pack. The Ni-Cad batteries provide up to four hours of continuous operation. Air flows down inside of the visor and across the face, eliminating any potential for fogging while keeping your face feeling fresh.
